About the Client
The client is a leading manufacturer specializing in the production of high-quality manhole covers. They offer a wide range of customized solutions designed to meet the unique needs of various industries. With a focus on precision, they provide products that are built to withstand the demands of both urban infrastructure and industrial applications. As they accepted many customized orders, they usually got orders which needed extra steps to get the order completed for which they needed a system to track and route the requirements of order correctly.
The challenge
- They collected the requirements from the Sales team manually via emails and routed them to different departments manually via emails
- Multiple departments collaborated on customized products, but there was no centralized system, causing miscommunication and duplicated efforts.
- Manual approval was required for customized product planning and development, leading to delays.
- Data from forms was stored in different systems, making it hard to maintain consistency and accuracy.
- Without automation, every step of the workflow required manual intervention, leading to inefficiencies and errors.
Our Solution
- Designed and implemented the forms directly within Salesforce to capture data using Screen Flow, storing the information with a well-designed object structure, while making sure the process is configurable and easy to maintain
- Designed and implemented a streamlined Salesforce approval workflow for the Sales Director to review and approve the requirements regarding customized products.
- Divided Process of calculating price into different stages, each corresponding to a specific part of the overall process.
- Developed a structure that enabled multiple technical and non-technical departments to collaborate on the requirements, ensuring proper attention to details is given at each step
- Implemented a solution to route the requirements to the designated departments ensuring that the steps to cast the given design and requirements are done in right sequence and pricing is calculated accordingly
- Implemented email notifications to stakeholders at each step to alert and track progress.
